Then you know what to do then! It's Jack's Birthday on the Friday; so we may be a tad wibbly, but the obvious choice would be a quick mooch around the pubs of Emsworth. There's several of them, see! Gales ales still available in some; a few free-houses too. Daza - you'd be more than welcome. As it's a PSF there's no real urgency or what have you so a mini-tour it is then! Shall look forward to it. Have given a pre match Emsworth tour a provisional thumbs up along with Malx. But as malx has suggested it might depend on how many other hands I've got to hold on the tricky trip from Wiltshire to Hampshire as to whether we can make the detour. Yes. It can be a tricky task - there's no "orderly crocodile" of well-groomed, well-behaved children on our days out anymore it seems. At least if you literally hold their hands, it stops them dropping their trousers in inappropriate places: Railway Carriages, Pubs, busy thoroughfares etc. But otherwise, that's a definite "yes", is it, Dave?

Just shooting through 'cause I remembered, somehow, that this was on here... 8-)With thanks to club secretary Trevor Brock; our PSF list... I can keep them under wraps no longer. Enjoy!
JULY
Friday 13th AWAY vs COWES SPORTS 7.30pm
Tues 17th HOME vs PORTSMOUTH 7.45pm
Fri 20th AWAY vs LLANELLI 7.30pm
Sat 21st AWAY vs SWANSEA CITY @ Llanelli 3pm
Fri 27th HOME vs WOKING 7.45pm
Mon 30th HOME vs AFC TOTTON 7.45pm
AUGUST
Sat 4th HOME vs SALISBURY CITY 3pm
Sat 11th SEASON COMMENCESLooks like I'll be in Wales for my Birthday! ;D And; we get to say a proper "Good Luck" to our friends from Salisbury too In light of the fact that I missed Riverside this year if there's still a tinpot tour on the 4th I'd quite like to give this a go. While I'm here, belated 'happy birthday' for the 21st, if I've understood this post correctly, and if I haven't, **** it, have a good day anyway. Happy Birthday also to anyone I've missed while I've been busy and to anyone I'll miss whose birthday it is in the coming weeks, due to still being busy, and apologies if there's something else I should've 'answered' while I'm here. Next item on the list.. Sleep!

Not sure whether it classes as a Tinpot tour or not but certainly Malx and me will be down for the game and are planning to visit ISIHAC's stomping ground in Emsworth as an alternative to the delights of Havant town centre.

Tinpot is certainly is; Daza will be there too - not that his presence in itself makes this a tinpot event, but we do happen to have peeps from more than the two teams playing on the day aiming to be in attendance - my personal interpretation of tourage!
If you can remember where we are MiB - you'd be nmost welcome. These Salisbury people are awfully nice chaps you know.

I'm getting used to that reaction since the smoking ban started If you've got a meeting place and time I'll try to find a train that approximates to it. Post it on here or if you've still got my mobile number it hasn't changed. These Salisbury people are awfully nice chaps you know. They'll have to work at the 'conference arrogance' bit then

Salisbury are due into Emsworth at 11.33. Malx should be liasing with ISIHAC regarding our first drinks stop. A combination of holidays (Pinky's having his now before he says goodbye to the family for the next 9 months!) plus an aversion to friendlies means there'll probably only be the 2 of us who post on here.

Ah, you're going the Chichester route then. I'll probably go the Havant route (It's the straight through Brighton train from here) as it only involves one change, at Havant, and only gets me into Emsworth two minutes later (11:35) and I get to spend 48 minutes less on railway property.

Heard from DazaB this morning, he's joining us on Saturday - might even be there Friday evening in fact. The Railway does B&B so the lad might be well esconced by the time anyone else turns up.

There's a couple of photos of saturdays Tinpot meet on ISIHAC's phone. Was a bit of a change in plan as a 4-strong Salisbury contingent got to Emsworth, couldn't see anyone in the meeting pub and decided we didn't like the look of it anyway, and went on our own mini tour of Emsworth. Met up with Havant, Worcester and Tamworth at the game and had a couple of beers in Havant afterwards before getting the train as far as Salisbury with Daza who was carrying on to Dawlish via Westbury!

Ignoring the lesser pigs (they're not Sandybacks)... Despite my appalling memory I remembered to take a camera (woohoo!). Sadly, being a totally inadequate human being, I only actually took one photo. It is, if I haven't made a complete balls of this as well, here: s11.photobucket.com/albums/a192/Mark_Poyner/?action=view¤t=00000180.jpg(yes, it's not a pretty linky, I'm sure it's not difficult to do but I just can't be @rsed to work out how)
