Jo; please do not mis-interpret our interest here - we are all lovers of the non-league game south of the border and our interpretation of Tinpot is one full of respect and reverence for the grass roots game. There. That's the formal stuff; where's the beer? Arran Blonde. Sampled it in bottles and here & there at festivals... When can we come?? At the very least we will want to watch or take part in a game - and some of us will stand, confused and tearful in the middle of the park, rotating slowly in a never ending circle if we can't come away with a souvenir; mug, pin - something of that nature..... Yes. Seriously! ;D Chaps. Clear the diary. We's off for a visit.

I think we could struggle to find a date that all who want to go can make it.
Maybe anyone who is seriosly wanting to go posts any times they can't do it we could find some common free dates?

Northend Thistle hits the big time! Yesterday's 'Country File' on Beeb2 ran an item on them, mentioning they haven't won for 15 years and the 7-7 draw. Even the distillery near the pitch got a mention. The pub-owning goalie was interviewed. Maybe Thistle aren't quite as tinpot as we like :-)

Hi guys, i hope you all watched Countryfile right to the end yesterday to see some live Northend Thistle action....
It's exciting to see that you are still interested in coming over to Arran - as soon as the fixtures are released I will post them on here which might help you decide when you want to come.
i'm sure i can "arrange" some helpings of Arran Blonde for Tinpot supporters.... and the distillery does tours with free whisky tastings at the end. george who owns the lochranza hotel apparently has the 2nd largest collection of whiskies in scotland...

Jo, dear! You DO understand the principles of emotional blackmail, I take it? Top ales and an unlimited number of malts to sample?? ;D

there is no blackmail involved here - but after you have witnessed yet another defeat i find a beer or five help to soften the blow!
by the way, my husband was the one doing the team talk before the game on Countryfile - a natural bullsh*tter, wouldn't you say?

Bullshit, not! Well not entirely. Motivation comes in many forms and without even the smallest grain of belief, you's be wasting time and breath. it appears that there is room for a new footballing fairy story in Scotland, with the problems afflicting Gretna.... ? Incidentally, Mr & Mrs ISIHAC will be driving the 511 miles from here to there; hopefully in June. Given the distance involved, it would make sense for us to rest a while when we get there; say a long seekend and take in the scenery as well as the sporting side of things. I would hope that others can join us?
