Having finished work at 6 this morning I got into bed at 6:35 and got off to sleep pretty quickly.
I woke up at 8:45 and couldn't get back to sleep again.
I gave up the struggle 20 mins ago and got up.
Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep later...

Managed to get another 3 and a half hours in this afternoon. Beloved must have some kind of ESP or something because whilst picking up her insulin prescription today she bought me some of those Nytol thingys. ( That is meant to say thingys. It's not the swear filter cutting in.)  |

A Leek accent is kind of approximate to a Stoke accent but less pronounced. I can always recognise a Stoke accent instantly on TV.
Think Robbie Earle, Mark Bright, Garth Crooks when he lets his 'posh telly voice' slip.
Incidently, Mark Bright used to play for Leek Town but it was before my time. About 79 or 80 I think. He would be our most famous ex-player.

According to The Organic Directory 2007-8 the East Midlands consists of: Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
The South Midlands consists of: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Goucestershire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.
The West Midlands consists of: Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands County and Worcestershire. There are no North Midlands.

I think not!  ;D Technically, we are in the Midlands and I do consider myself a Midlander. However, we're not far from the border with Cheshire (North West) and it is possible to pick up Granada in some parts of Leek (but not all, rather oddly). Plus,we are considerably nearer to Manchester than we are to Birmingham. I think if you were to ask the local population which region they came from you would get a fairly even split between the Midlands and the North. Clear as mud then. |

As I am working the early shift this week my alarm is set for 4:35 but apart from Monday I have been up before it has gone off. Still,never mind. 12 hour nights next week. Oh joy. |

Know the feeling Peekay, Off last Saturday after finishing nights Friday morning, twelve hour days Sunday, E/T All week, days again Sunday twelve hours, Monday L/T Tuesday 11.00 - 19.00, Wednesday and Thursday 07.00 - 19.00 L/T Friday, off Sat / Sun, was asked to work but FA cup at Lewes takes priority!!  Insomnia, not a chance, sleep deprivation, well....... |
