My plan for 3/3 involves a bus trip to an obscure village pub following arrival in Cambridge. What, Histon? Never mind Sal's birthday plans then. No don't worry, it's only my birthday, I get one every year after all. If you're going to bugger off then you're not invited anyway, so there!!! ;D

Anyway, according to the ads on the top of the Tinpot Tours page, Tinpot Terrace wants us to do more than drink in Cambridge... It's just offered me the chance of a Heineken brewery trainee place... Nico, you do understand that acceptance - even provisional acceptance of such an offer shall almost certainly render you friendless and pointless. You do know this ,don't you!?

I thought that stuff was made in labs, not in breweries! Sal you tell us what train you and you're significant other are on and I'm sure we'll be there with you!!

I was hoping to do this early and catch up with the Sal party a bit later... But maybe I'll save it for our rearranged trip to H*ston in April.

What time will you be leaving Kings Cross? What time will you be arriving in Cambridge? What time will you be leaving Cambridge?
(Include the date where appropriate.)

What time will you be leaving Kings Cross? What time will you be arriving in Cambridge? What time will you be leaving Cambridge? (Include the date where appropriate.) 1) Depends what time I can get his majesty out of bed ;D 10:15 hopefully, otherwise 10:45. 2) Hopefully 11:01, just giving the pubs enough time to open their doors for us If we don't make it, 11:31. 3) Um... as soon as we can get up the next day! I think we're kicked out at 11am, which is reasonable, I suppose. This refers only to me and yon martello- I don't know what everyone else is doing about getting home. Actually, I'm kind of hoping that we'll get to go punting on Sunday if we don't do it while drunk on Saturday!

Errr, I think I'm IN (having been sort of forgiven for suggesting alternative drinking plans for the early part of Saturday ;D). It should be noted that many Cambridge pubs don't open their doors until noon. An exception is the Champion of the Thames, which opens at 11 - hence my brilliant suggestion that Sutton fans assemble there prior to last season's H****n match. Pity it's Greene King. The Live and Let Live (nr station) allegedly opens at 11.30.

The Champion was a pretty good pub despite Greene King. By the way, dear chap, you are perfectly entitled to make your own drinking arrangements, but this is MY birthday and so I shall have my friends thank you! I hope that this includes you.
