Another signing: Asa Charlton, a left sided defender.
Was just released by Mansfield but earlier this season was with Redditch. Did play for us previously as a youngster but that was about 10 years ago so I wasn't there and can't comment.

More departures with Left Back Dave Tickle and Top Scorer Alan Nagington joining Witton Albion and Hednesford Town respectively. Seems that they're both strengthening on the cheap. As for the vacant managers position we have had 1 written application and 1 telephone enquiry, neither of which the club is pursuing! Would the last person to leave and all that.

We appear to have signed Phil Ruggles from Molesey (although he did put in a few appearances for us a few seasons back - its too late for me to work out when). Have lost (allegedly) Mark "Petey" Marshall to Headless Chicken Utd. Expect a revolving door policy at CA over the summer.

Gary Fitzpatrick has agreed terms for the new season. From the current squad just Steve Palmer to go now.
In other news, Scott Willis is now with Hendesford and Steve Foster has just signed for Fleetwood.

We've managed to bring Gary Drewitt back and rumour has it we've kept hold of Jack MacLeod who was on loan from Crawley for the last few weeks of the season. ;D ;D ;D If it's true about MacLeod, then along with signing Drewitt and Ruggles as well as keeping hold of Cooper and Harwood, then it's all looking pretty promising so far, despite losing Marshall. ;D ;D ;D But like votp said, the revolving door policy is due to kick in on 14th July so i'm not holding my breath...

The exodus has begun at Leek. Dave MacPherson > Hednesford Town That's our 2 best midfielders gone. I'm hearing a rumour that Hednesford have also offered a contract to Alan Nagington who has been our leading scorer for the last 2 seasons. This is depressing. Not surprised that our beloved neighbours from across the Chase have been beating a path to your door. Once they smell financial weakness they're in picking the bones even while the furry corpse is still twitching. Their "great" side of the 90's was built around Wayne Simpson, Steve Essex, Steve Burr and Joe O'Connor, all ex-SRFC. They went on to take many of our squad plus manager and assistant back in 2002.

I've just had a phone call telling me we've resigned Steve fecking Gibson. For those of you fortunate enough never to have come across him, Mr Gibson joined us at the beginning of last season from AFC Storminateacup and to say he was dire would be an insult to Kieron. Anyway, we managed to 'lose' him halfway through the season, much to the joy of the newly formed 'Steve Gibson Hate Club'. So, as you can imagine, i have been weeping into my drink ever since i was informed of this latest development. i also took a hopeful glance at my calendar to check if it was April Fools Day...no such luck

I don't expect many ins and outs at Priory Lane this summer - a) because we did so well last season and b) because we don't have any bl**dy money!
One confirmed signing so far - ex-Brighton youngster Dan Leach, who scored 38 goals for Hailsham Town in Sussex County League Division One last season.
Another newbie, Eastbourne United Association winger Nathan Crabb, will spend pre-season with Boro. He's the brother of Boro star Matt Crabb and top scored for United with 15 goals last season. United's second top scorer, on 13, was another Crabb brother - striker Sam! Yep, Eastbourne's full of Crabbs... ;D
